Indian Visa for UAE Residents
Indian nationals with UAE residency (OCI/PIO cardholders or regular Indian passport holders) do not need a separate visa. Non-Indian UAE residents (Emirati, Pakistani, British, American, and most other nationalities) can apply for an Indian e-Visa online at indianvisaonline.gov.in. Processing is typically 3–5 business days. Pakistani nationals require a regular visa from the Indian Embassy — not the e-Visa — apply well in advance.

Autumn colours — Chinar trees turn gold and red. Ideal 12–22°C. Fewer crowds than spring, base package rates.

Currency: Indian Rupee (₹). UAE Dirhams not accepted in Kashmir — exchange at Dubai airport before travel. SIM: Indian SIMs (Jio/Airtel) available at Srinagar airport. Power: India uses Type C/D plugs (220V). Altitude: Srinagar is only 1,585 m — no acclimatisation needed (relevant only if extending to Ladakh).
