Season: December–March. Duration: 2–3 nights. Includes: Private cab from Srinagar, hotel (ski lodge), Gondola access, ski equipment rental (2 days), 2 x 1-hour beginner ski lessons, snowsuit rental, all breakfasts. Gulmarg has some of Asia’s best off-piste skiing. The main slopes are at Kongdori (Phase 1 top station, 3,747m) and Apharwat (Phase 2, 4,267m). Ski rental costs ₹800–1,500/day. Instructor costs ₹1,200–2,000/hour. Packages are most competitive when booked as a group of 4+. Cost: ₹18,000–₹28,000/person (2 nights, ski lessons included).
Gulmarg as Part of a Kashmir Package
Most guests visit Gulmarg as 1–2 nights within a broader 5–7 night Kashmir trip rather than as a standalone destination. In our 5-night Kashmir packages, Gulmarg is Days 3–4, sandwiched between Srinagar (Days 1–2) and Pahalgam (Days 5–6). This is the most efficient routing because: the Gulmarg–Pahalgam road exists but is long and rough — it is faster to return briefly to Srinagar and then drive south to Pahalgam.
